A well researched, but somewhat flatly written biography of the mathematician who was awarded a Nobel in economics. It was not very enjoyable to read. One gets a very different impression of the man than from the movie. The madness is mostly described, with no examples. There is far too little mathematics in the book: almost none at all. Instead, the problems are described as well as the solutions (but mostly they are just praised). The typeface is rather small. Lengthy index.
