Here's a movie for Jerry Lewis fans (Scorsese showed his cred in "King of Comedy") and/or over-sexed male juveniles. Lot's of moronic manic scenes and very, very little understanding of how these stock traders tick. Is Martin Scorsese Hollywood's most over-rated director? Sure seems like it. Even his "famous" ones (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) are hardly worth anyone's time of day. I suppose "Mean Streets" was his best movie and that was back in 1973. Since then, it has mostly been a downhill slide.
