Jess Aarons has been practicing all summer to become the fastest runner in fifth grade. When the time of the race comes, a new girl joins the race and beats Jess Aarons. The two kids soon become friends and soon begin to spend a lot of their time together in the woods near Leslie's house. Unfortunately, a tragedy occurs to Leslie, and Jess is left to deal with his grief with his family and other friends. The concept of this book was amazing, making it a great read. The uniqueness of Jess and Leslie's imagination forming Terabithia adds to how engaged I was while reading the story. Overall, Bridge to Terabithia is an interesting and casual read, making it a great book.
