Far goofier and wackier than their classic "A Hard Day's Night," "Help!" is still a lot of fun and, on blu-ray, it looks stunning. The plot is forgettable (Hindu's need Ringo's ring!), but the music is great, the boys are in good spirits, and the locations, which include the Alps and the Bahamas, are pretty. Director Richard Lester seems to be auditioning for a Bond film, which, sadly, he never made. It's not great or essential, but, hey, it's also not the "Magical Mystery Tour" show, which is maybe the worst thing the Beatles ever did (aside from break up).
