Prince Winter the IceWing is a student at Jade Mountain Academy. He has always been a disappointment to his family. But when his sort-of friend Moon has a prophecy, and his winglet finds out about his missing brother, they want to come with him to help, and figure out the prophecy afterwards. Why, why, why did they have to come with him? IceWing warriors don't need help, least of all from other tribes! Besides, Moon is a NightWing. The IceWings and NightWings have hated each other for centuries because of how the Darkstalker's mother stole the IceWings' last animus. But his winglet just wouldn't let him go by himself. So he let them come, thinking of ditching them soon. But he starts thinking that maybe extra help isn't a bad idea, and starts treating them a bit more nicely. But they all think that Winter's problem is urgent, find his brother first, then deal with the creepy prophecy. Again, he didn't need ANY help. AND they also think that NightWings aren't that bad. They did horrible things! How could anyone forgive them? But slowly, Winter's heart is beginning to melt, and his winglet transforms from "random stupid dragons who came along" to "good friends". But he can't let it melt. He'll have to be strong to face his family in the Ice Kingdom, and he'll have to leave them behind when he does. He tries to appear careless, but he can't bear to leave them behind. His heart is melting again... but will he let it this time?
Winter, a student at Jade Mountain Academy, has just realized that his murderous sister is on the loose, looking for his long-lost brother. He must go and stop her from doing anything bad!
For some reason, his worthless clawmates, including a mind-reading NightWing, insist on coming with him, so he reluctantly lets them. But can Winter and his group of 'friends' find Icicle before she does anything awful, like murder, to get her way?
