Overgard is a resourceful yet increasingly desperate man stranded in a remote, snow-covered wilderness. After a plane crash in an icy wasteland, Overgard must live by his wits as he waits for help to arrive. But when a long-awaited rescue effort fails, he faces a life-or-death decision: remain in the relative safety of his camp and hope to be found or embark on an arduous trek that may be the only hope for both him and a critically injured stranger.

Incredibly good survival movie with an amazing actor. The landscapes, the minute details of everyday survival, the decisions that might end in either saving their lives or perishing - incredible!
I highly recommend it.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever watched!!! I watch the whole thing should have stopped halfway through or earlier spoiler alert they don't get rescued

Snow & chill weather lovers this is for you; spectacular scenes; a survival story of how best to conquer wildness in disparate times; story is slow but in real situation in the fridget temps it is not fast....how two survivors struggle through snowy tundra each step to live? or die?: scenes for the "escapism in U"

This is a horrible movie!!! It is so boring!!! When I say boring, I mean boring! In the beginning you don’t know what’s going on, the guy never talks. Almost gets saved, nope, those guys crash too. The pilot dies and the copilot is dragged along with him half dead and they never speak. I’m not going to waste my time telling you about how horrible it is. Just trust me! It’s so unrealistic.

Every once in a while you see a film that is so incredible it leaves you speechless and unable to write a commentary -- this is one for me!
Cast Away is a nice story, but it's got NOTHING on Artic.
Eat yer heart out, Tom Hanks -- Mads Mikkelsen DELIVERS!

Good grief! Just go with the film, don't try to figure out why he's there...pretty obvious with a plane wreck and SOS signaling. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and did some anxiety breathing about the animal threats. The man was fit, he was determined and the woman gave him a reason to survive. Great cinematography. Brutal location. I'd have laid down and slept myself to death. Mads was believable. It reminded me a bit of Liam Neeson in Greys, although that was a stretch to believe. Yes, it's slow so if you want car chases, lots of violence of the other culture give this a miss.

realistic, captivating, great acting, awesome cinematography--not fast-paced or dramatic, because it was based on true events....

This movie is, without a doubt, the worst movie I have ever seen. There are only three characters, two of whom don't say anything, and the third mumbles a few times throughout the movie. I've worked on the Arctic circle, so I know what it's like, and there is no way he could have survived doing what he was doing. Everything the main character did, both physically and medically, is absolute nonsense. A complete waste of time!
