Entertaining, funny, interesting. I really enjoyed this book and also learned something new about the royal family and their traditions. Being an Anglophile, I love everything (well, almost everything) English, so I could not pass on this book. It really doesn't say anything new, at least for me: I have known Elizabeth II as the Queen of England all my life, I have cried for the premature death of Diana and have disliked (and still dislike) Camilla for her scheming, selfish way of being. However, I found really interesting to read about Kate and the modernity she is bringing to a centuries-old institution, as Lady D tried to do before her. And I enjoyed the gossip about Charles and Camilla, of course. Well, if you liked "The Crown" and "Victoria", this book is for you.

Fiction, and not even good fiction. What a pile of doo doo. I've been reading these for decades -- used to be an Anglophile but the whole way they treated Meghan Markle has put me off for good. This is exactly the kind of trash the UK press puts out every day. They get one source to say one thing, never find anything corroborating, and just print it as fact. This author got so much wrong it's hard to know where to start, and I'm talking just knowable facts, public record. I'm only finishing this to keep up with my book goal. It's a slog because this guy is awful. It would be great if Rappahannock Library would lose this.

Didn't even get the date of Prince William's birthday right. (Check page 88)
So that tells you the level of accuracy or real facts in stories.

What will happen when Queen Elizabeth II dies? Will Phillip become king? Will he abdicate in favor of his son William? what parts do Camilla and Kate play?

Meh. For the most ardent Anglophiles only.

The pages outlining what each participant will think/do when Queen Elizabeth dies were a complete waste of time. The rest of it was gossipy speculation. Nothing in this book makes me want to read anything else this author has written.

Very interesting - a mix of fact and speculation that, for those who haven't really followed any of the "insider information" released in recent years, provides a documented, detailed, and contrasting look at the recent years of Elizabeth, Camilla, and Kate, as well as possibilities for the very near future...
