Lordy, lordy, lordy, i do swear: this might be the cd that saved country music ( if it has been saved; could be debated). i do like music collections that feature three
Beatles, i do like collections that feature Derek and the Dominos, shortly after they formed; i do like collections that feature both the Byrds and an unreleased Dylan; i do like collections that feature Carl Perkins singing an original of his; i do like collections that feature early solo McCartney (otherwise known as 'Wings'). I do like good country music, and this two cd set is loaded with that.. . . . . . Oh, and also Rondstadt, and Neil Young (doing his top-selling single ever), and Scruggs, and Kristofferson, and the list goes on and on. Leonard Cohen, doing the second song of his i'd ever heard.

I loved this 2 CD set. Great performers and great songs. Some I hadn't heard, most I have heard and enjoyed again after a lot of years. A nice surprise here is Ringo Starr's song Beacoup the Blues, lovely.

There are more than 35 groups or artists on this CD. It is a good overview of the folk music and country music scene of the 1960's. Probably not all cuts will be your favorites, but there is plenty of gold recordings here on two cd's to enjoy! Check the listing of artists the heading "Additional Contributors" to see the complete lineup on contributors.
