I was quite disappointed by this book. It did not live up to the reviews by the critics. First, the enormous problem that keeps being alluded to and finally shared is solved in a rather off-hand manner at the end of the story. Second, it is difficult to see how the two different plot lines come together. Third, the references to faith come across as lacking real meaning and struggle - almost as if they are thrown in so that this could be called a "Christian novel." This book is more a cheap romance rather than a book of intrigue.
