A smart historical romance. Witty dialogue and great characters. This is an integral part of the Spy-masters series where each book adds depth to the secondary characters who become the H and h in this story.

I enjoyed this, the plot line was interesting, and for a historical romance it had a bit more to get your teeth into. The author has glossed over huge parts of both the H and h past, I felt the years they were apart needed more detail, to really understand who they have become. Still a good book, though I do not think it matches up to her earlier works.
